Abstract

This is a neurologist's opinion on how computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have improved the doctor's diagnostic possibilities changed patient/doctor relationship and increased the patients' expectations from diagnostic tests. How should the often conflicting interests of patients, society and doctors be handled?
