After qualifying, Paul Schleijpen came over to England in 1987 for a short locum position in Salisbury. He clearly enjoyed the experience and decided to stay, soon joined by his wife, Herma, a clinical psychologist. He eventually moved to Scotland, where he trained in general practice in Crieff.
